A Note From the Editor…

Hello Readers!

I don’t think I have to tell you that Fuel Your Writing has had an amazing young life so far! From a strong launch to a growing team of talented writers to winning the honor of being named one of the “Top Ten Writing Blogs”…all within a “mere” 4 months. Being a the helm of this amazing and quickly growing blog has been a wonderful -and fun!- experience. I have decided to pursue other avenues though, and will be stepping down as Managing Editor as of October 31st.

Parting is NOT sweet sorrow, though! I will be staying on in a “background” position to help guide the new editor or editors along the same path that FYW has been charging along at full speed. We at FYW have worked hard to bring you relevant and quality content and I remain committed to not only maintaining that high-quality, but to always look for ways to improve it and expand to truly cover all genres of writing. We have a lot of exciting things planned here, and those will not be derailed!

To help us achieve those exciting advancements, we have begun searching for a new Managing Editor. While this is not a “full time” position, this person will be in charge of the day-to-day responsibilities of running, maintaining and promoting not only FYW, but supporting the rest of the FUEL Network of sites.

The perfect person for this partnership will have both writing and copyediting experience. They must be outgoing, enthusiastic, self-motivated, a team-player and have a sense-of-humor, as we’re one big happy family here with tons of “brothers and sisters” to keep things interesting! :-) Some experience in the WordPress blog platform is preferred. The Managing Editor is also responsible for maintainng FYW’s other social networking accounts as well as positively and frequently interacting with our writing audience.

If you are interested in taking on this challenge, please send your information to editor@fuelyourwriting.com.

Thank you for making this such a wonderful experience. I not only learned a lot from the content posted by our writers, but from you readers as well through your comments and feedback!

Best,

Michelle Krasniak Oxman
