Umm, yes, please! I would love to have some of that here in my town. :( Black Cat Books has had some writers groups meet up before here in Manitou Springs, and I attended the open mic poetry nights on several occasions, but it doesn’t seem to be the same as the places you listed above. Nice write-up!

I’d love a place like these! Think it’s more of an American thing, as I don’t know of anything like this in England. The Grotto looks awesome, but I would say that because I’d love to live in San Fran :)

We do have several writing ‘retreats’ in the UK, usually taking advantage of the stunning countryside that we have here, especially in Scotland, Northumberland, and the South-West. But I’m not sure of any similar groups/centres like you have shared with us, Michelle.

Any UK readers know different?
