About The Site
Words make the world go ‘round. Ok, there are lots of things that make the world go ‘round but we think writing should be at the top of the list somewhere around water, love and ice-cream. That is why Fuel Your Writing was created. FYW is the inspirational “go to” site for writers of all flavors: business writers, novelists, short story, advertising, technical writers…the list goes on and on. Stop by to pick up ideas, the latest news in the writing world and knowledge about your fellow wordsmiths. Stay for the water, love and ice-cream. Just pick your flavor.
Eden Tyler, Editor
Eden Tyler began working toward writing/editing as a career by entering (and winning!) writing contests as a child. She didn’t take the most conventional route to becoming Co-Editor of Fuel Your Writing, but it worked, which is a lesson in itself. Eden majored in English to cover the basics, but also concentrated in Psychology and Sociology. After finishing school, she did what many others do — she took job after job that had nothing to do with her education. Working with people in many customer service related positions allowed Eden to open up and learn to deal with the public rather than hole up with a pen and paper. These experiences, along with her college smarts (of course), helped land her work as a freelance writer for Demand Media. She also regularly contributes to If You Give a Girl a Pen… New equals good in Eden’s book, and she’s beyond thrilled about this venture with Fuel. Getting to work with so many types of writers and meeting different people is mind-blowing and there’s not much else that could make her happy (except maybe a publishing deal for one of her books).

Christopher Jackson, Editor
While at university studying for a degree in Law, Christopher Jackson discovered one thing – he did not want to be a lawyer. His long-time love of the written word lead him to achieve his Masters in Creative Writing, and during his course he met a lot of cool people and learned the valuable lesson that it is actually okay to want to be a writer! He now writes short stories, and will soon be applying to become a teacher. After writing for several months for Fuel Your Writing, Christopher was offered a Co-Editor position working alongside Eden, which he accepted immediately! He is also venturing into freelance copywriting, at the moment writing press pieces for the FUEL Brand Network. He is very active on Twitter and writes his own blog, Never Too Serious. He is also writing a novel after challenging his friend to a writing duel! Follow his progress here. When he isn’t writing and editing he enjoys running, reading, and wandering in the beautiful countryside of the north-east of England, where he lives.

Matt Madeiro, Contributor

Matt Madeiro is a part-time vagabond, part-time grammar snob, and full-time unemployed. When not lamenting that last bit, he likes to lurk on his personal blog, posting periodically and feeling awfully narcissistic each time he does. Lately, he’s been devoting his time and energy to self-improvement blog Three New Leaves, nurturing it like his own virtual child in hopes it just might sprout to form the best damn blog you’ve ever seen. The tweets? Man, they’re just for kicks.
