    • Small Can Be Big
Small Can Be Big, is a non-profit that harnesses the power of small, direct donations to help Boston-area families in need from becoming homeless. This is the blog entry for a writing contest we just announced in the hopes you'll share this opportunity: As a volunteer-based non-profit, we rely on the generosity and talent of others to operate. Which is why, when a radio station donated some free airtime for SmallCanBeBig.org to advertise on the radio, the obvious thing to do was create a contest to get volunteers to write the copy for the spot. The facts: a 30 second radio spot, targeting that person who wants to make a difference in the world. Someone who believes change is possible and that change starts at home with a more direct, more personal, more local, and more shared way to do something BIG together. (But hey, don’t take our material). We’ll vote on twitter and by reaching out to our donor base once YOU send us your ideas. Please email entries to amanda@smallcanbebig.org by September 30th. We’ll send you a copy of the spot once it is produced for your portfolio.
