And I am proud to know a friend like you whom inspires to be a writer. Best way to train your skills is by blogging and invite friends to follow your blog. Hosted blogsites like Wordpress has this application where you can see how much traffic you drove from your articles. To make your traffic higher, use keywords that are hot or in the news because search engines do crawl for keywords and should those keywords are hot news the indirectly you are directing traffic to your site. Also look at the comments section such as this. If you get more than three comments, you know that people ARE reading your post.
