My writing ritual:
If I'm writing in a journal, it has to be a veeeeery small notebook, one I can easily carry around. I always write just walking around and on spur-of-the-moment ideas.

Hello Selena! Thank you for your comments.
It is nice to know that someone out there appreciates my idiosyncrasies.

Speaking of enjoying a particular writing style, I have to say one thing: Your website rocks. I loved your article on Megan Fox. Well done.

I would just like to say that you are my personal hero. I thought I was the only one with the following issues:

"#1 I have to find one of the several half-filled journals that are in my home. I have a journal fetish. So I tend to buy a new journal each time I am in a writing or bookstore. The journal must be lined, with a ribbon marker to note my place. Leather or soft cover is not as important as the feel, weight and look of the journal.

#2 Next up, choosing a pen. If you thought I had issues when it came to selecting a journal, just wait. Not only do I suffer from a serious journal fixation, my love of pens borders on obsessive-compulsive and fanatical. Before I am able to begin writing I have to find a fine ink pen with a small to medium barrel. The colour of the ink must be black. The design of the pen is what grabs and holds my attention and fuel my desire to purchase it."

keep up the articles, I enjoy your style :)

Hello Paige,
Thank you for your comments. I read your post, it was great. I appreciate that you incorporated my article into it. Here is the one thing that I forgot to mention. When I don't follow the steps of my ritual, I find that there are silly mistakes with my finished piece of work. I am glad that you enjoyed reading it.

Hello!

Glad I found this - very amusing way of looking at what we decide we *have* to do before we get started on the real work! Like you, I'm pretty fond of pens, but I prefer mostly silence when I write.

I hope you don't mind, I turned this into a post of my own on my blog, and sent a link back here!
