Wonderful post. (Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.)
They didn’t just work in England. The Beatles traveled to the tough-section of Hamburg and played 8-hour sets at strip clubs. Can you imagine telling bands today they had an 8-hour set?

Christopher –
I have everything The Beatles ever recorded! My parents raised me on them. Those are some phenomenal songs you listed (but there isn’t exactly a bad Beatles song).
I tend to put in an entire CD (or pick one on my iPod) and listen straight through while cleaning, driving, or just daydreaming ;) and I get my ideas from the music. But it has to go off once I start typing. As I just told Anil, I cannot multi-task!! If I listen to music while writing, I’ll find myself typing words I didn’t mean to! Guess I’m not a typical woman….

p.s. John and Paul are my favorites, too. But I’m especially fond of John. Amazing mind….

Thanks! Interestingly enough, I don’t normally listen to music while writing–only when I edit. But I listen to it so much throughout the day and it’s such a huge part of my life that it constantly inspires me. I have music in my mind as I write, but I can’t actually listen to it because it distracts me. I can’t do two things at once!! ;)

Nice post Eden – I’m a huge fan of The Beatles, and find their work dripping with inspiration. The stuff John and Paul wrote is breathtaking.
